The Friday market at Mapusa, is much more authentic compared to Anjuna and other night market. The majority of the stall holders are women from surrounding villages, squatting in the shade of umbrellas. Local specialties to look out for include strings of spicy Goan sausages and liquor brews like ‘feni' and ‘urak'.
